Define Tenancy Law in SAP

This SAP tutorial explains to the SAP users the step-by-step procedure to define a new tenancy law in the SAP system with proper screenshots.

What is Tenancy Law in SAP?

Tenancy law in SAP determines the country-specific rental process. These laws include or can say influence the settlement of service charges, rent adjustment and modifications, and period of notice.

How to Define Tenancy Law in SAP?

Please follow the steps below to define the tenancy law in your SAP system:

Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP command field and press Enter to execute the transaction code.

On the next screen click the SAP Reference IMG button to proceed to the next steps.

Now navigate to the following SAP IMG path:

SPRO > SAP Reference IMG > Flexible Real Estate Management (RE-FX) > Master Data > Basic Settings > Define Tenancy Law

Next on the Change View Tenancy Law Used": Overview screen you will see a list of previously defined Tenancy laws on your SAP system.

Next, click the New Entries button to define configurations for the new Tenancy Law.

Next, enter the specify the following fields for the new tenancy law:

  • TL: Specify alphanumeric code for new tenancy law
  • Tenancy Law Description: Enter the short description for the new tenancy law.
  • Specific: Select specific for new tenancy law

Once all the details have been entered click the Save button to save the new configuration.

Now select your Customization Request id and press Enter to go to the next screen.

Next, the message Data was saved will be displayed at the bottom of your screen
