The new Service Data Control Center, use transaction code ‘SDCCN’.

When you start the transaction , the ‘To do’ view is displayed. Initially the new Service Data Control Center is not active. So no tasks are displayed or processed.
Before the new service Data Control Center is activated, the old Service Data Control Center (transaction SDCC) will be active in your system. To see what happens after we activate the new Service Data Control Center, first start the Service Data Control Center (type /nsdcc in the command field).

Service Data Control Center This is the old Service Data Control Center. Here, session data is collected by a job called ‘AUTO_SESSION_MANAGER’.
To check whether this job is active in your system, choose ‘Autom. Sess. Manager’.

Service Data Control Center The dialog box confirms that the AUTO_SESSION_MANAGER job is active. If the new Service Data Control Center is activated, this job will no longer be needed and it will be removed. Confirm to return to the main screen.

Activate the new Service Data Control Center The activation has started and the first steps include: Remove the old background job AUTO_SESSION_MANAGER for the Service Data Control Center
Checking the settings tables for missing entries, and adding them if necessary Automatically creating a RFC destination to the SAP Service system
Choose ‘Yes’ to create the RFC destination to the SAP Service system.

Activate the new Service Data Control Center A dialog box confirms that the RFC destination has been created. Choose ‘Continue’.

Activate the new Service Data Control Center The new RFC destination ‘SDCC_OSS’ to the SAP Service system requires a working ‘SAPOSS’ RFC destination that points to the SAP service system. The router string of the ‘SAPOSS’ RFC destination is used for the new RFC destination ‘SDCC_OSS’. If your SAPOSS destination is not working or does not point to the SAP Service system, the new RFC destination ‘SDCC_OSS’ will not be created. Choose ‘Continue’.

Activate the new Service Data Control Center The new RFC destination cannot be created, you have the option to repair your ‘SAPOSS’ RFC destination and manually create the new RFC destination ‘SDCC_OSS’ later. Choose ‘Continue’.

Activate the new Service Data Control Center Next, a ‘Maintenance Package’ task is created. This is a background task, which performs all the steps to enable you to automate data collection for your services. A dialog box displays the task ID. Choose ‘Continue’.

Activate the new Service Data Control Center A ‘Service Preparation Check’ task is created. This is a dialog task, which means it will not be processed by the Task Processor job. The ‘Service Preparation Check’ task functions as a reminder to you to check’ task functions as a reminder to you to check for updates to the TCC Service Tools.
A dialog box displays the task ID. Choose ‘Continue’.

Activate the new Service Data Control Center T start processing the new tasks, you have must schedule the Task Processor job. Choose ‘Yes’ to schedule the Task Processor job.

Task Processor Activation is now complete. The ‘Maintenance Package’ task and the ‘Service Preparation Check ‘ task are now displayed in the ‘To do’ view. To check whether the Task Processor job is scheduled correctly, choose ‘Goto’.

The status Is activate. The job is scheduled to run hourly, starting at 13:43:57 on October 6, 2004. Scroll down and choose ‘Exit’ to return to the ‘To do’ view.

To check whether the old Service Data Control Center is locked, call transaction ‘SDCC’ in a new window.
Type ‘/osdcc’ in the command field.

Display the RFC Destination to the SAP Service System Now, let’s Check the RFC destination ‘SDCC_OSS’ to the SAP Service System. Choose ‘Goto’.

Display the RFC Destination to the SAP Service System to display the RFC settings, choose ‘Task-specific settings’-> ‘ Session Data Collection’ -> ‘RFC Destination’ -> ‘Settings’.

Test a RFC Destination This overview displays the RFC destination that was automatically created to the SAP Service system. To test whether it is functional, first select it.

Test a RFC Destination A summary of the test is displayed. The test performs the following steps:
An authorization logon check (same as in transaction sm59: test-> authorization).
An authorization check for all the required function groups. If an authorization is missing, it will be listed here. Choose Exit.

Go to Transaction SM59 If you need to repair a RFC destination, you can go directly to transaction sm59 by scrolling down and ad choosing ‘Vie RFC destinations in Transaction sm59’.
Display and maintain RFC destinations
Go to Transaction SM59 All the RFC destinations in the system are maintained here. Choose Exit to return.

Manually create a RFC Destination to the SAP Service System. If the RFC destination to the SAP Service system could not be created when you activated the SAP Solution Data Manager because your RFC destination ‘SAPOSS’ was not functional, you will first need to repair the RFC destination ‘SAPOSS’. Then you can create the RFC destination ‘SDCC_OSS’ manually.
First, Scroll down and change to ‘Exit’ mode.
