Backup from DB13 not working

Dear Group

pls advice me how to configure db13 to make Backup job running from it
because when i schedule Database bacuse from DB13 their is error
occured that this job can not be run
The system is SAP R3 4.7 on database oracle under HP-UX 11i v2

...and what error are you getting? Without any additional information one can`t help you.

Problem in this case is: They might have scheduled a backup job using CRONTAB from the unix side. If this doesnt work ofr you when you try from DB13 then...just check the logs for the previous backup. Here you can find a comand line that starts like "BRCONNECT -u -f" or something to start wit BRCONNECT just copy that line and run it from the OS side using ORA user.

Dear Maddy Many thanx for your co-operation i check the brconnect and you are right so pls help me to get over it and this the log:
# devsrvr:oradev 1> brconnect -u -f

BR804I BRCONNECT terminated with errors but the backup it run without any error from SAPDBA but when i check the backup detail log from DB12 the detail not displayed and appear the following message: could not read detail log bdriqdoy.ant i think it realted to the same problem
