BI_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG job fails with IMPORT_CONTAINER_MISSING short dump

Hello Experts,

What are the common symptoms, if BI_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG job fails with IMPORT_CONTAINER_MISSING short dump?

How can I get this issue resolved?

    The following error can be noticed by the user:

    • BI_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG background job cancellation. 
    • Internal session ended with runtime error IMPORT_CONTAINER_MISSING
    • "IMPORT_CONTAINER_MISSING" " "
    • "RSBATCH_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG" or "RSBATCH_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG" "START-OF-SELECTION"
    • Format error with IMPORT: No further container found.

    The user can get the error solved by using the following steps:

    At first, the corrupted record from table RSBATCHDATA should be deleted in transaction code SE16.
    After this, the BI_WRITE_PROT_TO_APPLLOG background job should be restarted in transaction code SM36.
