What is Confirmation Profile in SAP Defects Recording?

Confirmation Profile in SAP Defects Recording specifies the type of information or confirmation objects that you can record for a defect.

How to Define Confirmation Profile in SAP?

Please follow the steps below to define a Confirmation Profile in your SAP system:

Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP command field and Execute it.

Now on Customizing: Execute Project screen click the SAP Reference IMG button to proceed.

Next, navigate to the following SAP IMG path:

Quality Management > Quality Notifications > Defects Recordings > Define Confirmation Profile 

On the Change View "Confirmation Profile": Overview screen, you will see the list of the previously defined Confirmation Profiles on your SAP system.

Next click on the New Entries button to define a new Confirmation Profile in your SAP system.

Now, provide the following details about the new Confirmation Profile as shown in the image below:

Confirm. profile: Enter a unique name and short description for a new confirmation profile.

Also, select the confirmation checkboxes according to your requitement

Once all the details are entered click the Save button to save the new configuration

Next, select your Customization Request id and press Enter to proceed.

A message Data was saved will be displayed on the bottom of your screen.

You have successfully created a new Confirmation Profile in your SAP Defects Recording
