What are ABC Indicators in SAP?
ABC Indicators in SAP Logistics are defined by the significance of material on the value or criticality of the supplier relationship. For example, A indicates Significant Material and C indicates less significant material.
How to Define ABC Indicators in SAP?
Please follow the steps below to define ABC Indicators in your SAP system:
Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP command field and press Enter to execute the transaction code.
On the next screen click the SAP Reference IMG button to proceed to the next steps.
Now navigate to the following SAP IMG path:
SPRO > SAP Reference IMG > Logistics - General > Master Data > Settings for key fields> Define ABC Indicators
Next on the Change View "ABC Indicators for Materials": Overview screen you will see a list of all ABC Indicators on your SAP system.
Next, click the New Entries button to define configurations for the new custom ABC Indicators.
Next, enter the specify the following fields for the new custom ABC Indicators:
- ABC Indicator: Specify a single character that defines the new ABC indicators.
- Description: Enter the short description for the new ABC Indicators.
Once all the details have been entered click the Save button to save the new configuration for custom ABC indicators.
Now select your Customization Request id and press Enter to go to the next screen.
Next, the message Data was saved will be displayed at the bottom of your screen
