What are License Types in SAP GRC?
The license type is a classification that is automated based on role assignment through the user provisioning process. These License types must be integrated with SAP GRC.
How to Define License Types in SAP GRC?
Please follow the steps below to define license types in your SAP system:
Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP command field and Execute it.
Now on Customizing: Execute Project screen click the SAP Reference IMG button to proceed.
Next, navigate to the following SAP IMG path:
Governance, Risk and Compliance > International Trade > Legal Control > Define License Types
On the popup screen select, the Legal Regulation and press Enter to proceed.
On the Change View "License Types for Legal Control": Overview screen, you will see the list of the previously defined License Types on your SAP system.
Next click on the New Entries button to define a new License Type in your SAP system.
Now, provide the following details about the new License Type:
- License Type: Enter unique code that identifies the new license type and its description
- License Category: Select the category for the new license type
Select one of the checkboxes either Valid for Outbound Process or Valid for Inbound Process
Once all the details are entered click the Save button to save the new configuration
Next, select your Customization Request id and press Enter to proceed.
A message Data was saved will be displayed on the bottom of your screen.
You have successfully created a new License Type in your SAP Transport system.
