What is Planner Group in SAP?
Planner Groups is a term in SAP that represents a group of employees in a company who are responsible for planning, processing, and maintenance tasks in a plant.
How to Define Planner Group in SAP?
Please follow the steps below to define a planner group in your SAP system:
Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP command field and Execute it.
Now on Customizing: Execute Project screen click the SAP Reference IMG button to proceed.
Next, navigate to the following SAP IMG path:
SPRO > SAP Reference IMG > Quality Management > Inspection Planning > General > Define Planner Group
On the Change View "Maintenance planner group": Overview screen, you will see the list of the previously defined Planner Group on your SAP system.
Next click on the New Entries button to define a new Planner group in your SAP system.
Now, provide the following details about the new planner group:
- Plnt: Enter the plant name for which you want to define the planner group
- PlGrp: Enter 2 digit alpha-numeric id that identifies the new planner group
- Planner Group Description: Enter a short description for the new planner group
Once all the details are entered click the Save button to save the configuration for the new planner group.
Next, select your Customization Request id and press Enter to proceed.
A message Data was saved will be displayed on the bottom of your screen.
You have successfully created a new Planner Group 001 in your SAP system.
