What is PS Text in SAP?
PS texts in SAP are user-definable texts managed in the PS text catalog. These PS texts are grouped according to text types and can be created in multiple languages. A user can create PS texts in SAP Script format.
How to Define PS Text Types in SAP?
Please follow the steps below to define ps text types in your SAP system:
Execute t-code SPRO in the SAP command field and execute it.
On the next screen click the SAP Reference IMG button to proceed.
Now navigate to the following SAP IMG path:
SPRO > SAP Reference IMG > Project System > Documents > Define Text Types for PS Text
Next on the Change View "PS Text Types: Overview screen you will see a list of previously defined PS text types on your SAP system.
Next, click the New Entries button to define a new ps text type.
Next, enter the following details to configure the new Salutation as shown below in the image:
- Type
- Txt Type
- Description
Once all the details have been entered click the Save button to save the new configuration of the PS text types.
Now select your Customization Request id and press Enter to go to the next screen.
Next, the message Data was saved will be displayed on the bottom of your screen implying all the configurations for new PS text types have been saved in the system.
You have successfully defined a new PS text types in your SAP system.
