What is Revision Level in SAP?
SAP Revision Level is used to identify changes done in any material or document with reference to a change number. This allows the user to process the objects later with reference to the revision level.
How to Define Revision Level in SAP?
Please follow the steps below to define revision level in your SAP system:
Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP command field and execute it.
Now on the next screen click the SAP Reference IMG button.
Next, go to the following SAP menu path:
SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG –> Cross-Application Components > Document Management > Control Data > Define Revision Level
On the next screen, you will see the list of the previously defined Revision Level on your SAP system.
Next click on the New Entries button to define a new Revision Level in your SAP system.
Now, enter the following fields about the new Revision Level as shown in the image below:
- Seq: Enter two-digit code that identifies the new revision level
- Revision Level: Enter the revision level
Once all the details are entered click the Save button at the bottom to save the new sales group.
Next, select your Customization Request id and press Enter to proceed.
A message Data was saved will be displayed on the bottom of your screen.
You have successfully defined a new Revision Level 12 in your SAP SD system.
