Define Sales Type in SAP

What is Sales Type in SAP?

A Sales type in SAP is an identifier that defines the type of sales performed via SAP FR-EM. The sales type also indicates the nature and format of the sales.

How to Define Sales Type in SAP?

Please follow the steps below to define the Sales Type in your SAP system:

Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP Command Field and then press Enter button to run it.

Now on Customizing: Execute Project screen click the SAP Reference IMG button to proceed.

Next, navigate to the following SAP IMG path:

SPRO > SAP Reference IMG > Flexible Real Estate Management (RE-FX) > Sales-Based Settlement > Reporting Rule > Sales Types

Next on the Change View "Sales Type": Overview screen, you will see the previously defined Sale types on your SAP system.

Next, click the New Entries button to define a new Sale Type on your SAP system.

Now, provide the following details for the new Sales Type as shown in the image below:

• Sales Type: Enter an alphanumeric id to identify the new sales type
• Names of Sales Type: Enter a description for the new sales type

Once all the details are entered click the Save button to save the details of the new Sales type.

Next, select your Customization Request id and press Enter to proceed.

A message Data was saved will be displayed on the bottom of your screen.

You have successfully created a new Sales Type in your SAP system.
