What is Workflow IDs in SAP?
SAP workflow definition IDs are the id that is created for every workflow that you model. These workflow IDs are used when the user starts a new workflow instance.
How to Define Workflow IDs in SAP?
Please follow the steps below to define a new workflow id in the SAP PPM system:
Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP Command Field and press Enter to execute it
Next, click the SAP Reference IMG button to proceed.
Now on Display IMG navigate to the following SAP IMG path:
SAP Portfolio and Project Management > Portfolio Management > GLobal Customizing > Global Setting > Workflow Settings > Define Workflow IDs
Next on Change View "View for Maintenance of Workflow IDs and Text": Overview screen you will see the list of previously defined workflow id's in your SAP system.
Click on the New Entries button to define a new workflow id in your SAP system.
Now input the following details for the new Workflow Id as shown in the screenshot below:
- Workflow ID: Enter 11 digit unique code for the new workflow id
- Workflow ID Text: Enter a short description for the new workflow id
Once all details are entered click the Save button to save the newly defined Workflow ID in your SAP system.
Now select your Customization Request id and press Enter to proceed further.
Next, the status bar displays a message Data was saved on the bottom of your screen.
You have successfully defined a new Workflow ID in your SAP system.
