Standard SAP GUI doesn’t allow to save the password in the shortcuts.
This can be achieved by doing these two steps.
1.) For enabling the password field first you should register the shortcuts for this
- Go to SAPFrontEndSapGui Directory and run the command
- sapshcut -register
- after that, a variable is created in windows registry.
2.) Go to Command Prompt and type in REGEDIT -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER –> Software –> SAP –> SAPShortcut –> Security,
- Change the variable Enable Password from O to 1.
- and close the registry editor and make the shortcut through the SAPGUI. Now you can enter the Password and save it.
