Error No account groups are defined in chart of accounts

Hello SAP Experts,

While Creating General Ledger Account In Tcode FS00 I am getting following error.

'No account groups are defined in chart of accounts'

is showing can u suggest pls,

While creating GL account if the system is throwing that kind of error message one thing is you need to create GL account under available account group or create account group by using obd4 t-code after that, create GL code using fs00 t-code.

Hi,
You can go to OBD4 and first create the account group and assign the numbers range for creation of general ledger so that when at the time of creeation of GL in FS00 the same number range can be assigned.
