Error: Unable to change the open item management setting while Activating OIM

Hello Experts,

I am receiving this error while Activating OIM.Since account has Zero Balance.

You cannot change the open item management setting; (see long text)

Message no. FH087

This account does not have a balance of zero.

System Response

You cannot activate/deactivate open item management with this
transaction.

Procedure

If you want to activate open item management retroactively for an account, create a new account with the correct setting and transfer the existing items to this account.

If you want to deactivate open item management retroactively for an account, clear all the postings on this account first. Now you can change the setting for open item management.

    It means debit is not equal to credit for the account to which you are trying to select OIM , if you have fewer line items reverse them so that bal of account become Zero. 

    Now go to fsoo and select OIM for the account you will still get the error msg, double click on the error msg click on technical info there you can find the application area and message type note it and go spro bank directory message control there give the application area and message no and make ONLINE option as W=warning , save it. 

    Now go to fsoo and sel OIM check box and try to save it.

    Or alternatively you can try program RFSEPA01.
