How to access ECC6 running on VMWare from Network

Hello Gurus,

I have a question Please help me with possible answers. Thanks to all in advance. THis question is both Regarding SAP Basis and also VMWare.

I have server 2003 Installed and inside that server I have ECC5 which can be accessed via internet. and I have also installed a VMWare Workstation 6.50 which contains a server 2003 and Ecc6 inside my local server.

Can any one tell me how to access that ECC6 system Using Sap Gui from Another pc in the network ?? Where VMWare IP is not from the local network.

SAP R/3 ECC 6 has a; [ Host Name, IP address, and DNS name, and Netbios name on a windows network]

If no firewall is in between, then you can use any of those names.

IF a firewall is there, then you have to have a path through the firewall that allows port 3200 passage. Port forwarding of 3200. Port 3200 is for the SAP GUI.

My set up on a VMware server with SAP R/3 ECC 6 and win2k3R2 server.

Outside IP address 69.xxx.xxx.47
Firewall
internal IP address 10.232.23.51.. ecc6
internal IP address 192.xxx.xxx.169 ...ecc6 and 2nd NIC card on same server.

If the internal network is 192.xxx.xxx.xxx and has a DHCP and DNS server, then use the internal IP address to access the VMware SAP R/3 ECC 6 server

In the sap GUI put the internal IP address.

For Outside side access from the WAN side use the outside IP address, 69.xxx.xxx.47, put that in the SAP GUI.

Just change ur local alan ip to vmware lan ip.
Can u tell me tht is ur vm lan ip.

Just change your Local A LAN IP to VMware LAN IP?

internal IP=10.232.23.51.
internal IP=192.xxx.xxx.169.

Can you tell me that is your VMware LAN IP? Yes.

DOES your VMware SAP R/3 ECC 5 server have two NIC cards?
IF yes, then put that IP address in the SAP GUI.
