What is Propagation Ranges in SAP?
The propagation range in SAP allows users to specify the raw material and products for which they can make changes in planning whether it can be interactive planning or production planning run.
How to Maintain Propagation Ranges in SAP?
Please follow the steps below to define the propagation ranges in your SAP system:
Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP Command Field and then press Enter button to Execute.
Now on Customizing: Execute Project screen click the SAP Reference IMG button to proceed.
Next, navigate to the following SAP IMG path:
SPRO > SAP Reference IMG > Advanced Planning > Order View > Maintain Propagation Ranges
Next on the Change View "Propagation Range": Overview screen, you will see the previously defined Propagation Range on your SAP system.
Next, click the New Entries button to define a new Propagation Range in your SAP system.
Now, provide the following details for the new Propagation Range as shown in the image below:
Once all the details are entered click the Save button to save the details of the new propagation ranges.
Next, select your Customization Request id and press Enter to proceed.
A message Data was saved will be displayed on the bottom of your screen.
You have successfully created a new Propagation Range in your SAP system.
