What is T-code MMBE?
T-code MMBE stands for Material Document List and is used in the SAP ERP system to display an overview of stock levels for a particular material. It provides insights into material availability, including batch-specific details. The available stock quantity considered in t-code MMBE comprises unrestricted-use stock, blocked stock, stock in transit, and quality inspection stock (which will be added to unrestricted stock post-QM).
It provides detailed information on the current stock levels, movement of stocks, and stock values for material, including:
- Quantity in stock
- The total value of the stock
- Storage location
- Batch number
- Stock type (unrestricted, blocked, etc.)

Improve performance in Stock Overview
- If you experience poor response time when running MMBE, consider the following:
- First, ensure you only use the necessary entries.
- Next, check your select options.
- Please enter a value for batches or don't display them at all.
- A large number of batches also contributes to poor performance, as creating the basic list is time-consuming. Each batch requires a separate line. Consider reorganizing obsolete batches by archiving them using transaction SARA.
- If the "Also select stock commitments" (KZLON) flag is selected, removing it will significantly improve response time for all materials. This field searches for related reservations, purchase orders, and stock transports for the selected material, heavily impacting tables EKPO, EKBE, and EKBZ.
- This causes long response times for materials with many outstanding orders, reservations, etc. Note that the stock balance remains consistent regardless of selection. By deselecting this field, these tables are no longer accessed during program execution.
