Screen Variant, transaction KB21N

Hi Experts ,

The Issue is like this ..We have different users accessing the transaction KB21N and carries the activity allocations.
We need to restrict the screen variants for users.Which means User "A" can only use the Screen varinat SAP001 and he/ she Should not be able to see the other variants and similarly User "B" shall have acccess to Screen variant "SAP002" and not to other Variants.
How to achieve this.....

I think that you need to do this through the roles and authorizations process but it will take some effort to get that level of detail.

I am pursuing the option of susing K_PVARINAT .
Cn you please throw some light on this as this is very urgent and critical.
Appreaciate if you could provide any documents on the same.
