SMTP: recipient addresses incorrect

E-mails are sent using the SAPconnect SMTP interface. The received e-mail contains incorrect sender information (From: or Reply-To:). For example, the visible name of the sender may be duplicated or truncated, or it may not be displayed at all. Problems can also occur with the sender or recipient address if the visible names contain special characters.

The error can occur from a particular length of the address, or if special characters appear in the visible name. The actual Internet address already appears in the address management with a visible name, or the address was provided at the interface or on the send screen with the visible name in the form visible name <localpart@domain> or localpart@domain (visible name).
