SNAP_NO_NEW_ENTRY ABAP Runtime Error

SNAP_NO_NEW_ENTRY While Running Transaction AGS_UPDATE

Hello SAP Experts,

In order to download the updates when I am running the transaction AGS_UPDATE a message SNAP_NO_NEW_ENTRY is returned.

The issue can be re-generated by following:

  • First, run the transaction code AGS_UPDATE.
  • And now click on Download Updates.

    Please follow the steps below in order to resolve this issue:

    • First, run the transaction ST22.
    • Now click on Go To and select Reorganize
    • You can change or keep the default values before clicking on Reorganize.
    • It will now allow you to capture the correct dump while running AGS_UPDATE.
    • Now please run AGS_UPDATE again 
    • Check if the SNAP_NO_NEW_ENTRY is gone. 
    • As mentioned, the relevant dump should now be written to ST22.

    Note: Please check SAP 17537 - ABAP/4 runtime error SNAP_NO_NEW_ENTRY.
