What is Staffing Action in SAP?
The Staffing Action in SAP represents the staffing and the assignment of candidates. Depending on the implementation, actions for staffing and candidates can differ.
How to Define Staffing Actin in SAP?
Please follow the steps below to define the staffing action in your SAP system:
Enter t-code SPRO in the SAP command field and execute it.
Now on the next screen click the SAP Reference IMG button.
Next, go to the following SAP menu path:
SPRO -> IMG –> SAP Portfolio and Project Management > Project Management > Resource Management > Basic Settings for Roles > Define Staffing Actions
Next to the Change View "Staffing Actions": Overview screen, click the New Entries button to define a new Staffing Action in the SAP system.
Now, fill in the following details of the new staffing action as shown in the image below:
- Action: Input a unique key that identifies the newly defined Staffing Action.
- Obj.Cat: Choose the objective categories
- Stat: Choose the stat for the new staffing action
- Text for Staffing Action: Enter a short description of the new Staffing Action
Once all the details are entered click the Save button to save the new staffing action.
Next, select your Customization Request id and press Enter to proceed.
A message Data was saved will be displayed on the bottom of your screen.
You have successfully defined a new Staffing Action ST in your SAP system.
